Business Head - Events & Activations

M S Narsimhan, is currently the Business Head for Events & Activation at The Hindu Group.

With 25 years of experience in the media space, he began his career with Yellow Pages as a foot soldier in 1990. This stint, from1990 to 1994, enabled him to develop a skill-set in sales, through hard and rigorous on-ground training in the B2B  space. He joined KSL in 1994 as an Advertisement Executive with Friday Review, popularly called 'Shopping Pages' then. His strong penetration and acquisition into the Chennai Retail Market led to the ideation of the neighborhood product, Downtown, in 1999, first as an advertorial and later as an Editorial Product. He also conceptualized and delivered various special projects including Bridal Mantra, which later turned out to be a marquee event in the Fashion space. In 2006, he was instrumental in creating 'Retail Plus', an advertorial product.  In addition to handling Chennai Retail, he helped the Karnataka and AP regions from 2009 to 2011, before becoming Head of Retail, South.  In July 2015, he handled the Chennai Market for a brief period and later became the Head of Events & Activation for the Group in 2016.
